Clark Kellogg Classic Radiothon
106.7 The Beat has partnered with the Clark Kellogg Classic for the second annual Clark Kellogg Classic Radiothon presented by Telhio Credit Union on Friday, September 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The one-day radiothon is a local effort to raise funds for the three beneficiaries of the Clark Kellogg Classic: Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Central Ohio. The Clark Kellogg Classic, in its fifth year, showcases some of the best boys’ and girls’ high school basketball talent while giving fans a chance to support worthy organizations. During the 9 hours of programming, on-air personalities from 106.7 The Beat will share interviews with Clark Kellogg, former Buckeye Basketball Student-Athletes and personal stories from families who have benefited from FCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters and RMHC.
Listeners will be encouraged to make donations over the phone and online with those who donate being eligible for prizes and unique experiential items. Clark Kellogg shared his thoughts on the importance of this event: “The Clark Kellogg Classic is a way for me to celebrate high school basketball, provide a memorable experience for student athletes and coaches, as well as raise awareness and funds for local organizations. For me, giving is an expression of gratitude and respect for the work others do in making our community and world better.”
Money raised from the Clark Kellogg Classic, which takes places on December 3rd at Ohio Dominican University, and the radiothon will be split between the three charities.
