The idea of the Clark Kellogg Classic event originated from the OHSAA Foundation game concept, which was a high school preseason game that served a dual purpose; kicking off the high school basketball season and raising funds for causes that the OHSAA Foundation supports. When the OHSAA added games to the high school schedule, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) pursued an opportunity to have local and state basketball powers meet in a one-day classic to showcase their teams and give fans a chance to support worthy organizations.
Because of our belief that a rising tide raises all ships, the FCA invited an organization that has significance to our tournament namesake, Big Brothers Big Sisters. Clark Kellogg has been very active in both FCA and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio over the years, and is excited to see how working together we can provide opportunities for at-risk youth in central Ohio. We partnered with another critical difference maker for at-risk youth, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Their support of families of children with life-threatening illnesses is second to none. The FCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, as well as Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio thank all of our sponsors, supporters, players, and spectators who are a part of the annual Clark Kellogg Classic.
